Senior NPI Manager / Product Manager (m/f/d) Contract manufacturer for decorative cosmetics

Our client is an international company in the development and production of high-quality color cosmetics, skin care and OTC products. It is positioned as outsourcing partner for major global brands and trend-setting players. It also has numerous subsidiaries in the USA, Europe and Asia (with a four-digit number of employees in total). The German branch is located near Hanover and employs about 150 people. It is closely linked to other European locations. In the course of further growth the company is now looking for a Senior Manager New Product Introduction/NPI (m/f/d).


Your Job

  • Develop and manage the project plan from kick-off to launch completion
  • Collect and validate all product specifications and requirements
  • Provide technical sourcing services for packaging and tooling
  • Ensure project feasibility while adhering to the quality and cost targets
  • Maximize internal and external transparency, speed and collaboration for NPI projects
  • Support in leading the new product development process from lead generation to execution, ensuring timing, targets are achieved
  • Responsibility for leading NPI and process improvement projects
  • Track all projects with project managers
  • Identify when key milestones are missed and lead counteractions
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis
  • Initiate Critical Path Squeeze (CPS) when needed
  • Manage the team of Project Managers and act as the escalation point


Your Profile

  • Masters’ Degree in Business Administration or equivalent, ideally combined with a Bachelors’ Degree in Business or Engineering
  • Additional planning, logistic, procurement and/or supply chain professional qualifications would be considered a plus
  • Experience in NPI, project management and/or product development processes, preferably from the cosmetics or the consumer goods industry
  • Strong knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
  • Good knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
  • Solid knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, and the analysis and reporting of financial data
  • Fluent English and German language skills are a must
  • Willingness to travel internationally when needed
