Global Category Merchandising & Space Planning Manager (m/w/d) With a very successful brand for gardening products

Our client is a brand manufacturer of gardening equipment and systems based in Baden-Württemberg. As Global Category Merchandising & Space Planning Manager you will be part of the Brand & Marketing organisation and responsible for developing category shelf plans, optimising the retail assortment and managing the planogram process together with the local marketing and sales teams.

Ihre Aufgaben

  • Development and optimisation of category shelf plans as well as their optimisation, among other things, through the analysis of available internal and external data.
  • Providing planogram advice to support retailers in optimising the assortment and available space, also in terms of KPIs and based on shopper insights and category management knowledge.
  • Cooperation with external agencies, for example, to make product placement on the shelves even more appealing.
  • Contact person and specialist for all questions relating to space management; support for national and international ad hoc enquiries.
  • Responsible to develop VR shelf presentations for ad hoc projects.
  • Cooperation with cross-functional teams, nationally and internationally.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of shelf presentations in the Company Show room in Ulm.

Ihr Profil

  • Have successfully completed your commercial training, ideally supplemented by a business degree with a focus on marketing or category management.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in a comparable function – preferably in space management or category management, see yourself as a marketer and come from wholesale or retail or from the FMCG/Durable Consumer Goods industry of an established brand.
  • Have a deep understanding of retail needs and expertise in the use of shopper insights and be successful in managing and working with agencies.
  • Have experience in project management and working in international and cross-functional teams.
  • Organisational skills, creative, analytical approach coupled with a passion for detail and an eye for aesthetics are among your strengths.
  • Shine with excellent English skills and enjoy effective multi-tasking, new challenges and international teamwork.
  • Your heart beats faster at the thought of using modern tools and digitalisation at the POS.
  • Have an affinity for IT topics and various IT programmes (e.g. MS Office, Spaceman).
